I paint because the beauty around me moves and compels me to do so, the beauty of the God who made all things. His glory, wisdom, and love are displayed in his handiwork. 

I am a self-taught artist who always loved to draw and paint. I was born in 1977 in a small town in northern Syria and moved to the States in 1995. It was not, though, until 2004 that I tried oil paint. I fell in love with it and realized the joy and the freedom of expressing myself through paint. I enjoy the thrill of colors mixing together and moving a canvas to life, bringing out an expression in a face, or capturing a moment in a place. Every empty canvas is an invitation to endless possibilities and exciting adventures.

           I would consider my paintings to be representational art done in a classical realist style. I work with different methods and techniques depending on the subject matter. There is a saying that you can judge an artist by the miles of canvas he has covered. I am in my first steps and I already love the journey; I hope you will enjoy it as well.
